STACY DOTY

Born and raised in Charleston, Illinois. Stacy's father and mother were both musicians and toured in the 40's and 50's for USO tours. His father was a guitarist and a lap steel guitar player. His mother sang, so he was always around music at a very early age. His mother told him that he was not one to go outside and play; but rather listen to his father give guitar lessons, or watch rehearsals that his father and bandmates used to have in his kitchen. When he was 11, his father went to Samuels in Mattoon and bought him his first guitar...a Hagstrom. Since then, he began playing Mandolin and Native American Flute. He started his first band when he was 15 and hasnt stopped since. His past affilations has been with a very short stint with REO Speedwagon in 1970, and much longer with the bands WhiskeyJack, Sawyer Brothers, and many others over the years. He also toured with the Nancy Hays Show as well as having one song recorded and made a hit by Glen Campbell in the mid 80's. He also was offered a recording contract with RCA and AMI during the mid-1980's and had airplay in European nations with a song that he had written.

RANDAL RHOADS

Randal was born a poor black child in Paris, Illinois. At least, that is what he says. Actually, Randal (or as we call him by his stage name..Randy), has a vast and impressive resume himself. He has played with some of the very best bands in the area and has played with famous artists who are NOT from this area. He is a musical workhorse, and workaholic. His savvy and sense of musical direction is upper crust and 100% reliable. Randy, the newest member of the band, was the key that unlocked the SWB potential. He is considered the consumate professional and a consumate nice guy.

RICHARD ALAN FAUST

Richard; a native of Paris, Illinois, has been playing music for 40 years.  Back in the early 70's, he was in a nationally known touring band called 'Illinois'.  Since then, he has been in some of the area's top bands such as Sister Kate.
Currently, he has a CD out on an Independant label that is currently on sale via direct sales or on his CMT spot.
He is the drummer and one of the five lead/harmony vocalists of PHB.

GREG LAWYER

Greg Lawyer has been playing bass guitar for over 20 years. But before that, he grew up in a musical household and learned to play guitar, piano, organ, trombone, tuba, and trumpet--all by age 15. He has been in many Illinois bands, several of which have played venues in Nashville and backed up well known acts such as Ray Stevens, Head East, and The Phelps Brothers.  He played in a band with Stacy in the 80's called WhiskeyJack.

The Pearl Handle Band is comprised of five musician/singers that have each worked over 35 years in professional music. Each member has had extensive touring experience, and recording experience with some of the top Nashville and Chicago recording studios.

PHB sound is derived from each member’s individual experience to a collective tour-de-force in the newer radio-hit country, alt-country, and country rock music.

Top-notch vocals, both lead and stacked harmonies are the signature sound of PHB. And, a blend of instrumentation; such as Mandolin, Accordion, and Native American flute. And then the foundation of hot lead guitars, acoustic guitars, keys, synths, six-string bass, and superb drum and percussion rounds out the unique sound of PHB.

Each member is a lead vocalist in their own right as well as accomplished harmonist and arranger. Each member has extensive showband experience and brings this to the stage, each and every night they perform.
